In Japan, on the other hand, this point has not been discussed much.In Japan, the national government and academic societies need to create guidelines for resource allocation through a transparent process. On top of that, "triage officers" should be placed in medical institutions to create a system that allows frontline medical professionals to save lives without ethical concerns about resource allocation for medical devices, according to Associate Professor Kodama. |
