In March 1917, Professor Kosaku Hamada published an article titled "The Future of Archaeology in Japan" in the Osaka Asahi Shimbun five times. The "new" school must be equipped with a "new" school. The Bunka University Exhibition Hall was the place to put this into practice. The laboratory attracted many people, and its bustling atmosphere was dubbed "Café Archaeologique" (archaeology). The building has been preserved as a registered tangible cultural property and still serves as a place for research. (Editorial Board Member Kunihiko Imai) |
