Being "at home" isn't free. Policy makers and the press may not see that families, and women among them, are responsible for the "care work" inflated by the pandemic. Professor Ochiai hopes that by making "care work" visible, or at least ensuring that people are not disadvantaged by having to do it, policies that put "livelihood" rather than "economy" at the forefront will become mainstream. |
