This stay home was based on the premise that someone else would be responsible for the enormous amount of "free labor," including meal preparation and child care. Professor Ochiai points out, "It was the women who carried more of the burden, but society did not see it. On the other hand, the amount of time Japanese men spend on housework is "the lowest among developed countries. StayHome highlighted the fact that there is still a sense that it is natural for some people to "work for free" at "invisible jobs" that do not pay wages. |
