While the percentage of men and women who cited "work-related" as a problem they faced when they or their family members telecommuted while their children were out of school was about the same, the percentage of women who cited "housework and childcare" was about three times higher than that of men. Professor Ochiai, who conducted the survey, points out that "in order to create a new lifestyle, it is necessary to have a system in which the economy that turns over money and the time used for living, including care, are in balance and society revolves around them. |
